Looking back at my best urban photos of London (street photography specifically) it's quite clear that the South side of the river holds a special place.
It’s one of the best London street photography locations in my books.
What attracts me, mostly around the South Bank Centre and the Tate Modern Gallery, is how open the spaces are and also the sometime quite "brutalist" architecture.
Some openings between concrete slabs create light wells which can really create beautiful geometric and high contrast street / urban photos.
The area lends itself very well to minimal photography, be it minimal architecture (see my minimal urban photography series) or fairly minimal street photography.

What other areas do you think are particularly good for street photography in London?
